Taylorville, IL – Rodney Davis, Republican Candidate for Congress in Illinois’ 13th District, will meet with voters today in Jersey, Calhoun and Greene Counties. Rodney plans to meet with voters in the cities of Jerseyville, Hardin, and Carrollton.
“Traveling across the 13th District over the last week has allowed me to hear the concerns of residents first-hand,” said Davis. “The families and small business owners I’ve talked to are sick and tired of the out-of-control spending in Washington and they’re looking for someone with common-sense to represent them.”
Davis previously visited Bloomington in McLean County, Clinton in DeWitt County, Hillsboro in Montgomery County, Carlinville in Macoupin County, Pana in Christian County, Rochester in Sangamon County, Mt. Zion in Macon County and Godfrey in Madison County. Additional stops will be announced in the following days, and updates and pictures from the campaign trail will be posted at ElectRodney.com.
Rodney Davis spends his free time coaching his twin sons’ baseball and football teams – for Rodney family comes first. His daughter Toryn attends public school in Taylorville and his wife Shannon, a registered nurse, is an instructor at St. John’s College of Nursing in Springfield.
“I know I can tackle the problems facing the residents of the 13th District because I have lived here most of my life and understand what it’s like to balance a family budget,” said Davis.
